i'm a novice, soi want to collect some useful softwares about edit website.could u help me!!!i think every oneat least have one software

I use TSW Webcoder to manage HTML and CSS code.

Since PhotoShop isn't free software I suggeest you use alternative software like Gimp for some graphics on your site.

Thats all I use for my webdesigning, I also have loaded DreamWeaver which is not free, for some hacks, but I can live without it too.

Don't use Flash on your site, too much of bandwidth usage in my opinion.

I design my website with Macromedia DreamWeaver MX 2004, Macromedia Flash MX 2004, MicroSoft FrontPage 2002, Macromedia Homesite, Macromedia FireWorks and TopLite Pro.They are all good website/Flash/Graphics editors. You gotta try them...

if you download Macromedia Studio MX from emule/dc++ (maybe i shouldn't be saying this on the forums... lol) you'll have some good programs, like Flash, Dreamweaver, etc. and photoshop is also a must!

DreamWeaver is a biggie and Photoshop is truly the best you can get for making banners and stuff for your website. Good for making templates as well.
