It's a very well done site Jimmy. Those pictures somehow make me think about Imperial Stormtroopers.

Your site is very well designed - everything is easy to access, easy to read and very clear. The colours work quite well together and the size of the writing is OK (1280x1024 19" monitor). You pass W3C validation for the markup, which is good, although a few CSS errors are thrown out that you might want to look into. Otherwise, a very well designed and made site.

I got six warnings and no errors when I ran it just now!? - interested to hear what errors you got) I'll get on it... If it was the warnings you mentioned, I decided to ignore them as theyre all "same colors for color and background-color in two contexts .. and .." or "same colors for background-color and .."As you can see it looks ok in the actual thing ;)So do you reckon that the main body text colour is clear and readable..?I was sorta thinking (its OK for me, but..) that it may be slightly difficult shade of grey to read?

I just added a 1px border around the images (using css) I was thinking of doing it
and it does make everything and those images look significantly better.
Its especially nice using css so that I don't have to photoshop it into the actual image - also means I can compress my images more without blurring the surrounding border!

this is the css it takes - for an external css file:
change the bit where it says imageborder (leave the dot) if you wish to change the name of the class to link images that you want a border around.

} .imageborder img {   padding: 4px;   border: 1px solid #999999; }

Put the img in a div with a class like this and it immediately adds the border!

<div class="imageborder">   <img src="yourimage.jpg" alt="image" /> </div>

Any more suggestions? maybe change each header colour from grey to something a little more colourful?

Nice work! It's good that it's all valid. However, I think you'd have more fun with a more flexible CMS like WordPress or TextPattern, rather than CuteNews!

I have to say not bad looking site and it's xhtml strict to which is a challange to validate, althought it is valid heres a couple of warnings they mention (most likely minor ones) for the html and CSS. I think the background should use a gradient background, the light blue color seems a bit a distracting but thats just me.to comment on biscuit posst yeah a better blog software would be better but by the looks of the simplicity of the site cutenews would be a simple enough software to use.

It looks pretty good, or maybe i'm just saying that since it's blue. But yeah, it seems to be stable too, nice. Oh yeah cool photo effects too.

Your markup is well done. Your site is laid out quite well. It passes my requirements.

Very nice pictures though, I myself was trying to get a picture of squirrel today.Now whenever i went to the links I sorta felt lost,but i get lost in my own house sometimes.When i clicked on contact me I thought this is what your site needs to look like.I know if i made a site that looked like that I would be pacing the floor smiling and smoke 10 cigarettes.

lol thanks! actually I had changed the design, and the one that you can see on the front page is the "newer one" lol, it just got gunned down no offence taken!
The old one was my own produced one, and yes its different for the contact me form, as I don't know how to write strict xhtml valid forms, so I just left that page!!!!
Is smiling, pacing around smoking 10 cigarettes a good thing for my site lol, or does it mean that its a bit dingy

Unfortunately I let my site drop. It may not work for you as a couple of days ago I'm gonna stop it.

Nice work. It looks pretty good. I love the colour scheme and the layout on the first page. The only thing I would suggest would be a bit of a welcoming speech on your first page, just introducing yourself etc. Other than that your site is great, and I love your photos .

Its very classy. I really enjoyed the nav bar on the right...

BUT... I almost closed your website because I thought the domain was sold or something. It looks EXACTLY like a parked domain.

WOW.You have a great site there k=jim. The black and white colours on the navigation are just so cooooooooooooool. I love your site. Wish i had onelike that. anyhow it is a great site and many people would enter it when they see the layout and then thwey will like the site . Great job did you do it by your self? . wellcya nowleter
