Java And Javascript I think they have misunderstanding.

Recommended Posts

I write the thing of my personal appearance. There are many ordinary people who are not programmers. Most of them, I think, have misunderstanding, saying "Javascript is the same as JAVA." haven't they?Even a friend of mine who studies perl had been misunderstood until I corrected it.

You are right, Java and Javascript are two entirely different programming languages. Javascript is used to enrich HTML pages while Java is used for a lot more. Javascript was named like that by Netscape for marketing reasons - Java was really popular then and they wanted to take advantage of the hype.

See buddy java is robust language it can be used as server programming, client side programming, stand alone application with gui programming language, but where as javascript its mainly for client side validation of thin client (mean html pages) more rarely javascript is also can be used as server scripting(But i don't saw any one doing that).

People actully think that? I thought only the dummys who didn't have a brain knew that. (No insults). But really? If you've ever seen a page with java or javascript tutorial on, it says that its not the same.
