Feedback For My Website

Recommended Posts

Hi, I have been working on my website for a long long time, and because Im so busy I dont have the time to make more content, I did change a little bit, and here and there put some content on how I want it to be. now I have vacation and work on it a few more times. Actually I was wondering If I can do something to make it better for the viewers. It used to load very slow, I hope I fixed that a bit with using little images. let me know what you think http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

Let your site expand with the content rather than putting that large amount of space at the bottom. Other than that it's clean and nice. Maybe perhaps you should add a splash page with an option to go to a lower bandwidth design for those with a 56k?

it is very crisp, and i really like that aspect. As for the imformation given, i think you could make the writing a bit more formal, i.e. "were you can find all kinds of stuff about different stuff". maybe some of this has to fo with you probaly not speakin english right away? in which case that kind of gives your website a uniqueness that i like.

Nice and clean design as mentioned by others, but I noticed a few things:- The top banner should have the same width as the rest of the site, it gives it a more calm appearance, which works better with the site overall.- use of // and :: I noticed that after the welcome you use :: but after first you use // as well as after under construction, on the other hand for the titles like news and beauty you don't use any, if you limit yourself to a uniform patter that also calms the design down, which again works with the website as a whole- the under construction sign should be in a box like the one next to it, to give a visual match, the same applies to "navigate" and "calendar" in the side boxes, navigate is centered vertically whereas calendar is up top, aligning those will also improve the design again- instead of the standard beveled borders use flat white borders for you tables, works better with the pastel background colors you're using for the rest of the siteOverall you have a good clean design going, everything I listed is just minor details you can try to improvements to your design. Nice job.

Ahh..Your site is pretty good. IT does lack content, but that will come through time. Your layout is easy to understand and easy to navigate. Your graphics arent flashy yet not boring either. id say keep at it and continue your work

I like the site a lot. The colors are really nice and fit perfectly together. I don't know about how much space you took up with the banner but it does look really nice. Everything blends in perfectly and I like the multicolors. The bottom does seem really empty though I think you should just make it expandable. I think the labels over the shoutbox textboxes I think should be centered or all aligned to one side. Other than that it looks really good overall very nice job.

thanks man very useful tips from all of you. And indeed the content is a bit weird at this moment perhaps, but thats because Im still trying to figure out what and how I exectly ( I know spelled wrong, its late) want my content to be eventually....still experimenting as you can see. But I do not want the eempty space on the bottom, I want to expand it to, but in some kind of way I tried to leave that empty space out, but if I do this, the other columns will change its height.. And then those things on the sides will change position in a way I dont like! Have not figured out how to expand it...any ideas?Blacklaser thanks for useful tips! I will definetely take a look at those borders, and figure out what you mean though, and as far as the vertical cursor, do you know how to get rid of that, because I don't really know how it became that way in the first place hahaha thanksps. And YEAH, I looked at my site concentrating on the // and youre right! I will change that at the end of items 'beauty', 'news' etc. like you said... didn't even noticed thats gonna look a lot better!

I recommend you make those curvetop.jpg and curveright.jpg images into .gif images instead. There are not very many colors, and .gif files don't have that pixelated distortion like low-quality jpg files do, so it would look much cleaner. Then, make those two images into one and put them as a background for the foreground header.jpg image and allow resizing accordingly. That way, the website can be viewed at 800x600 resolution without sideways scrolling (although that's less of an important thing these days).

nice work.you've achieved a good load-time be using little images, and made up the style with css so well done, but i have to agree that your header graphic should be more 'connected' if you know what i mean. it seems very detatched at the moment, and a bit odd.The rest of the site looks good, except i don't really like the orange bit, but thats probably just my preference.
