Help On Gettn Some Visiters To My Site

Hey whats the best way to get some traffic? some visiters to at least come visit my site? where should i advertise? becuase i really want to get my site up n running to be very useful and i really want it to grow..please help a bro out =D need some advice from my Xisto peeps =)

well that is a very common problem aroudn the web building industrie getting your site to the target audiance that you need to keep your site going, well there is lots of advice we cna give and help you out but then again you may need to apy for some advertising adn getting your site to the top of google and yahoo and msn, well when i had my old site with my old host what i did was tell everyone i knew that i had a brand new site, i emailed them and told them in person, got them to sign up and if your offerin the right thing then they will sign up and then tell there mates, give your users the ability to recomend a site to their mates, also make them signing up to your site sound like a good deal for them for example when i advertised my old site i said come to bla bla free sign up today, come on in and sign up today, that is another way of gettin the word out for your site? but really consistanct and tiem once you get a few members you should sllowly get the amount up, but really you need to get to the top of google and yahoo because then poeple who search for the things that are on your site will go to your site, if yhou give me the url ill sign up!!! and tell a few of my ,mates, other ideas are putt your site url and a little add on your msn adn signatures on other sites, liek have a signature then at the bottom have somethign like click here to go to my site and join today, that would generate some traffic, thats about all i ahev at the minute but if i think of anything more i will come back and post again and tell you anymore idea that i ahev had, but i do wish you luck wiht your site and member hunting, and i hopethis post has helped in soem way or another?

kylelnsn whats your site now becuase i checked in your profile and clicked on your site and the Xisto page showed up, and im wondering if youd really sign up on my site and tell others about it. BOAW, I would suggest getting more affiliates, and join some topsites. Add more content to your website, and make it easier for users to navigate. I was slightly confused at times as to where I was. You won't be able to have a large amount of people visiting your site unless you provide them with dynamic content, and update often. Add some jokes, pictures, and such to make it more interesting, and go out and find affiliates. Join link exchange programs, Xisto has one, if you haven't joined that yet.

your meta keywords tag just lists about 20 or so single words. go for phrases and then include them in your website so you get a high ranking for that phrase. i.e. "php problems" isntead of php, problems, issues etc.Nice site. if you didn't use a template then you should already be pretty decent at SEO.

I heard some people talk about being on the top of the search results by using blogs that link to your site...Maybe something for you, though I don't know if it's allowed or not, I think it is.

ok thanks for the affilliation and link exchange advice, but heh i dont really know how to set that up or anything. how can i set up affiliations too becuase i only seem to put on other sites into me site but i dont know how i can get them to put my site up on their site. i checked on top of the Xisto shoutbox script they have where it says link exhange, but when i went there, i had no clue what to do. Please explain what am i supposed to do??

Well you could always start from submitting your site to Google. This should help your website gain existence in Google's index. About the link exchange and affiliation... visit some sites you think are suitable to affiliate with you, and submit a polite and friendly request to exchange links.

only problem with search engines like google is that it requires alot of links and its mostly back links, best bet is look up websites that have SEO that will help generate visitors and what not.

A site I recommend and sometimes visit is http://www.alvit.de/handbook/ they have a small section on seo tools.

But problem is that now of days you need to have original content and the closest you get to original content is a blog about your life. Or create some new software that no one has ever seen before.
