Bypassing Web Filters a begginers guide

Method 1. Using the IP address for the website that you want to go on.

ie. https://login.live.com/jsDisabled.srf?mkt=EN-US&lc=1033 IP address: 64.70.45.46

basically 64.70.45.46 goes to the same website https://login.live.com/jsDisabled.srf?mkt=EN-US&lc=1033 to get a websites IP address use websites like http://network-tools.com/

you just type the numbers in your url adress bar instead.

you can find the IP of any website by going to a website like:

http://network-tools.com/

Method 2. Through a proxy server. type it in on google or you could use one of these.

proxyweb.net

hidemyass.com

-remember there are thousands of proxys on the internet so dont be put off if your school as blocked one of them.

Method 3.

Change the site name prefix.

example - use https://myspace.com/browser (instead of https://myspace.com/browser). Other prefixes to try for myspace.com: browseusers. search. invite. mail. blog. invite. favorites. forum. groups. events. viewmorepics. music. classifieds. signup. chat. vids.

Method 4.

Use a language translator page to translate the sites from any language into English.

a) Google Language Tools

Babel Fish Translation

c) FreeTranslation

d) Online Website Translation

e) Language Translation

f) Online Translator

Displays the *true* source of any web page (unaffected by JavaScript commands or dynamic HTML). Useful when the browser won't let you see the source or dynamic HTML alters it. It also adds some simple syntax highlighting.

Method 1 doesn't really work unless the site you are visiting is hosted on a dedicated server. If the site uses shared hosting... you'll end up on an ERROR page or some other website on that server.

Great advice. There are other ways to get around blocks too. For example the library computers at my school don't like it when I use gmail but I found since google is allowed I just have to logon on the google page and then go to there more services page and click on gmail and I am there. hehe. sneaky.

also, for method one you can use something called showIP if you're using firefox. i have it and it works great. i really wont ever use these things unless i REALLY need to get on a certain website at school that they blocked. o and at my school you can usually just refresh the page and it will work. it might just be my school though.

Thanks for the tutorial! However method 1 probably wouldn't work unless you made an entry in the computer's HOST file (Google it). Method 1 would load the page but block all images and links.

Very nice post. I was previously trying to get around a block on myspace (and other stuff) from my school's server, and so far I had tried proxies and translations, which didn't work. Eventually, I used a method similar to method 5, but instead of putting http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/, I use  thewebsite.com/, because the "https" part opens a secure connection, which can sometimes get around blocks. This was still being blocked for myspace though, so I ended up using a proxy -combined- with the secure connection trick, which seems to work. One thing I never tried though is the IP method, which should have been a "duh" to me. I'll check that out later. Anyway, I'm going off on a tangent. Good post.
