hey i have expiriance with 1and1 hosting company.I must say that they are realy big company as you see, so big companys usualy mean that they wont going to cheat you. I cant say that all big companys are secure but this is one of trusted :lol:They have very cheap domain names, they are like 5$ i think or a little more. But on the hosting packages you get "free" domains, like on 250 GB traffic and 5 Giga of space you get one tld domain name, and it cost 3$/month;500 GB traffic 50 giga of space and you get 2 domain names for 5 dollars... i think its greay offer. And now they give awey free .info domain names ;) ( for hosted only i think )There are few things that i dont like about them, first that control panel is good, but it should be much much better, they should install cPanel x or something... i dont like this admin panelsecond they dont have mySQL databases on localhost... that suck, becouse it takes TOOO LONG from creating database to time when its redy for use... 5-6 hours i think, maybe less maybe more...they have good FAQ, that can help you with every problem you have... but when you mail them they say they auto replay that they are buissy and cant answer right now :P they never answed my mail :lol:downtime... noooo  at least i didnt notice itand if you dont like them you can bring your money back in 90 days i think

yes i used to have a few dedicated servers with 1and1 the uptime was the best and the servers never went down so if you want to host with them they have to be the best hosting company ive ever used and the domains .co.uk domains i think have to be one of the cheapest ( the cheapest is heart internet for 9p) and you can use there domain api to set up your own registra service.

Have you checked out the Xisto - Web Hosting plans yet? There are some pretty good ones there, too. Reasonably priced. There seems to be a lot of sellers out there offering lots of space for their accounts, but is it dedicated space? Might want to check on that. Also, try to determine what your actual needs are for Space and Bandwidth. Why hook up to a plan offering 5 gigs storage and a gazillion gigs of Bandwidth if you won't need most of it. Better to find a reasonably priced service that meets your needs and allows for upgrading at a similarly reasonable cost than hook up to a service which promises you the world and might not be there next month.

well before i got co-loaction i looked at computing hosts plans. they were really good value for money but the software wasnt up to date and the support response times were slow.

 Hey Mxweb. You should be a salemen. I know for a fact that Mxweb and Xlrhost are great. I never have any downtime at all with this guy. *whispers* Xisto is great, but it hasdowntime every once in a while. I would rsather go with something that is always up. *end whisper* Am I a traitor? Maybe, but I doubt it, I just shop around for hosting. I have multiple websites. Xisto has a great forum, Mxweb has great uptime. You pick and choose, or do it my way, choose both
