Skype Review Description of Skype Software

Well, i want to share with you my opinion on this amazing software.

To start with the right foot we need to say what is skype?
Skype is comunication software who allows you to chat, video chat, but most importantly to make internet phone calls, free pc to pc phone calls, and a very LOW RATE pc to phone, calls.

I know that thy are many other softwares that does the same thing but let me expain you why is skype the better one.

First all the quality is even better that if you were making a normal phone call, even on international phone calls, plus you can manage your contacts and theirs phone pretty easy, the service SKYPEOUT (pc to regular phones) its awesome, same quality and very low rates, for most of the countries the rate is 0.02 Cents the minute, extremely cheap for an international call.

Its easy to use, excellente quality, excellente rate price, and its FREE.

I use Ventrilo for voice chatting. I tried Skype, but was met with persistent lag that I had heard about. It was weird really. I don't get any lag or problems of any kind with Vent.Never tried PC to phone connections tho. Except for when MSN used to have free PC to phone calls. I would call my grandmother. I don't have any use that kind of software anymore tho.

SkypeOut works very well for long distance and international calls, although sometimes the quality isn't great, and it has trouble dialing certain numbers.Normal Skype (between two computers) is afflicted with lag issues, connection instability, connecting issues, and other nonsense. Not to mention that its only skin is large, clunky, and horediously ugly. I tend to find Google Talk to be a much better option.

Does google talk aloud you to make phone calls, isnt just a chat program? For me skyp has worked fine, i made phone calls to spain, to the US, even my same country and didnt get any lag, even one time i first call spain by regular phone and i the lag was terrible then minutes after i called by skype and all was marvelous lol. Sometimes it gets a little, little, little laggy, so little that you woudlnt even care.The pc to pc calls are even better.Well thats for me, too bad that you dont like it lol lol

It seems to be interesting but it isn't for any type of gameplay and what not... It is more for the one on one chat of two people just getting a hold of eachother..... If you don't have a phone line i guess this is great.

During the academic year, I usually keep in touch with my mom through e-mail or phone calls. I found out about Skype a while back but hadn't really bothered in trying it out. However, when I returned home last Christmas, I decided to give it a shot. I taught my mom how to use the program and we've been using it to keep in contact ever since. No more pre-paid phone cards or long distance phone plans. Just click and dial away.I do find it to be a little laggy at times, moreso after my computer had been on suspend mode.

I really like skype. It allows for free talk over the computer without any charges. If there are charges they are very small. I hope they do not start charging for overseas transmissions throught he computer. One of my friends from germany said that there was a rumor that they would.

I like skype personally its the best free mic-to-mic service out there I think. I am not sure if others feel the same but I would say you should get it. It is really good to have chatroom chats with, especially comparatively to AIM and MSN. The microphone quality is great. Vent is also a great program to use for talking on a microphone, but you either need to use your own IP (which can be dangerous) or buy a server. Skype is 100% free I believe, unless they changed it. Teamspeak is also a option but the microphone quality is horrible. I suggest getting it, it is awsome if you get other friends to join in too

I've had a little problem with my skype account. As it claimed I didn't have to pay for any local calls, so I tried to dial a phone number without even talking to the person. I ended up having a balance of ( cents on my account. Its not the amount of money that bothers me but the reason why that happened if it was supposed to be free. I have no credit card so I have no idea what I have to do now and whether or not I'm going to get charged late fees or interest.

I think Skype is great! I use it on weekends to talk or do a video chat with my family and some of my friends. Aside from the rare instance of the voice coming through a bit choppy, the sound comes through just fine. Some of the major phone companies around the world may not be too happy, though.

I agree. Its sound quality is very good. The most useful for me is its SkypeOut. I always use it for calling my family in Indonesia whilst i myself in Singapore. It's great IMHO.
