Prefarably one that you can have on your own site... Unless its a pretty good remotely hosted one...And a hit counter? Once again there are like millions... I use Bravenet.com counters because they offer options so you can control what is counted; hits, per page hits, original arrivals, return visitors etc. Their reports extensive and let you know where the hits are coming from etc. They offer guest books as well and many other tools.
