My Greenhole Website My new web site about Car Insurances

Recommended Posts

Hi, I'm Sheila... and I have been trying to get my website about car insurance going. It's my only source of income .. so I need help making sure it looks good and all the links work. Also, if you have any ideas on what I can put on the website to make it look better or more appealing, please let me know. The only way I even make money on this thing is because of the ad links, but of course they would need to be clicked. But anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for listening XOXOXO Sheila

Here is my website --> http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

I was on your website, it looks nice,but..There is always a but :huh:I think, if you want to make your website look better and more appealing, try to use some colour, some nice background maybe, nothing heavy to eyes, sky blue, nice green or something like that...You can think about some logo maybe, that people could remember your website, so use some imagination and creativity to make a nice logo for your website.Your navigation bar is a little confusing, but also it is very simple...maybe you can ad some buttons, for 'Home', 'Donate me', etc.For a start it is not bad, but I think you can do it better, you just need some imagination, news from insurance, some pictures and you will see it will already look nicer... This are just my advices...I hope I helped you a little... ;)

Hey Sorrow, Wow thanks for that great analysis for my page. I didn't think anyone was going to take any time of their busy life to just look at my page and EVEN comment. Thanks soo much. Are you a webmater or do web designing yourself? Is their a website you have designed? I would love to take a look at it. too and see what you see. Well talk to you later

Hey...I was just wondering if you could add the names of the companies also ? I mean, well, you have given the names of the cheapest ---- companies of each state , isnt it possible that you also add links to them also , so that whenever people click on the link they can go to that company website directly ? it will be more helpful.well...atleast i think so..

What about insurance in Mexico? hehe... J/k. I think your website needs an interface, as it is right now it is just data but I think you could present it better. If you dont know how to make an Interface there is a lot of tutorials on the web, and some are so easy that you can do it yourself without any experience needed. For the tutorials I recommend the following site:

Pixel2Life

I hope this helps you and Good Luck!!!

Like the others said I woul improve the design a bit and add more color. Try and make it look a bit more professional. A list of all insurance companies being compared would probably be a good addition. When you make the list I would also have the link to that insurance company's website, maybe even put an average price so people know what they are looking for.

Hey guys,
I just finished creating a new website. It is http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ and no it is not porn. It is a car insurance website. I need feed back on how the pages look and what I could do to improve the look and feel of it. Also, I have added google ads to the pages. Please check to see if that put in a good place or should be moved around and hopefully those links work.

Again the website is http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/
[No its not porn]

Thanks so much

nothing spectacular about it, to be honest. as if it's made in a rush, and bears no professional design input before it was created. what's the picture of a girl got to do with car insurance, i was thinking. maybe to lure visitors by seduction? and animated gifts are so amateurish. and information is lacking on the car insurance companies listed for each state, not even an email or website link.by the looks of it, it's just among the hundred thousands (even millions) of websites designed to capitalize on the adsense program, nothing special. but there's nothing wrong with that. just bear in mind adsense terms of service with regards to the use of top-paying keywords (like mesothelioma and car insurance) simply for the sake of high-value clicks. :P

It looks basic.

What's the picture of the girl for? If it's you, then it shouldn't be the first thing you see on the page. It's the kind of thing you'd expect to see in an About the Author section and even then it'd be a 50x100 thumbnail.

When you click on your state and receive the name of the car insurance company, it would be nice if you posted links to the sites of the people who provide the car insurance. How about a profile: name, age of company....

With a nice and well-thought out colour scheme, a few pictures (I mean a header image on each page and stuff like that) and a good css sheet, you could make the website look more professional. That's what'll bring in more visitors. One of things people assocaite with badly-done webpages is a badly-done service.

6/10
edit: If the name of your site is commonly confused with porn, perhaps you should consider a rename. People confusing your site for porn won't help traffic.
Ya..I suggest changing the name of the site. "My Green Hole", then seeing a picture of a girl on the splash page could really lure traffic away from your website. Doesn't look to professional...

I agree with what everyone else has said up to this point. Although it seems as if you have the necessary content, you need to design a nice graphical user interface in order to make the site look more professional and win over the confidence of your guests. Anyways, good luck on your site and tell us if you make any changes or updates!

You need more information right at the top of the page. When I got to the site I just saw the girl and google ads on my screen. I sort of got the impression that was all there was. You don't want people to have to scroll down to get information. Perhaps you could have the google ads going up and down on the side of your main text instead of taking up all of that room on the top of the page.

If I buy car insurance I want to know that the company I go with are going to provide good service and pay up if I need them to. Your site just doesn't say that - it's cheap & tacky & reeks of dodgy.0/10

Merged topics. The member has previously showcased this site and in the future, please just add onto the existing topic. Posting to the same topic helps keep the Forum better organized and less cluttered. As to comments about the site, I think you should push some of the content up to the top. If the 'State Selector' was higher up, it might prompt viewers to click instead of hit the back button. Maybe float the picture to the left to make some room at the top.
