The Sims 2 Review The Sims 2

Recommended Posts

I recently got The Sims 2 for my computer, and I began playing it, however I quickly came to realize one thing...what's the point?Honestly, EA Games is making millions of dollars each year selling The Sims, and now what? The Sims became old and rusty! Now there's a Sims 2! What's next?I just can't wait until The Sims 3 comes out *sarcastic*, can't you? *wink* *wink*But still, with the expansion packs, it's a good game...8.5/10How would you rate The Sims 2?Stephen

I think the sims games are horrible. I see many people buying it and couple days later they stop playing it..... I mean you just do what you do in real life. I think its like a boring RPG game that has no end. I think all of the sims games are useless... like sims vacation, hotdate, sims 2. All those are pretty dumb, and those games cost like 40-50 dollars. What a big waste of money.

Playing It is what I and many other modders only do half the time. I can agree that playing gets boring after a week or two but modding and adding your own content makes it fun again. First moddling and texturing the object can take a lot of time and then you have to make sure it has a small enough polygon count for it to still let the game run smoothly. You then have to program it into SIM PE to tell the game what the object is and animate, it can be a lengthy process but does keep you occupied.I can't wait for the new expansion pack to come out though. Sims 2 Open For Business looks great and you finally get to build and run your own businesses be it a lemonade stand to a large scale resturant. The other expansion packs have been good, University got us getting the 'Young Adults' extra jobs (For people who like quick and un-repeating processes do not get this expansion, it can take up to four hours to get your Uni student to pass Uni with a decent score.)Nightlife also brought us something many players had been wanting CARS!. This game iis mainly Hot Date all over again but Is still an excelliant expansion, I have been trying desperately to make a car work properly that I have created, many other modders have been successful.Check out http://www.modthesims.info/ to see what you can do to the game.thewebber1988- - - - - - - - - - - Are You Local? - The League Of Gentlemen

I used to play the Sims (the original one) although stopped when I had my exams, never got back into it since. However, my sister plays it a lot and is trying to get me back into it. I don't think I'll play it again though, at least not for the timebeing. Can you play the Sims games on the internet nowadays? I can't remember seeing this as a feature on the original, but apparently you can, at least on the second.Anyway, I rate the game, the old one (no doubt the same for this one), 7 out of 10, it's a nice quality game and quite realistic. Great for young children!

I only find the Sims 2 entertaining for a day or two. Then I end up uninstalling it for a month or so. Furthermore, I didn't find cars to really be a noteworthy addition (they're practically useless - I'd much prefer more item variety instead).

And, sportytalk, there is a game called Sims Online for the internet, but if you want to pay a fee for a MMO game, I'd recommend giving Second Life a try instead.
