Question For Hosted Memebers

question for the people that are currently being hosted by Xisto. how has the service been going for you guys. is there good uptime. list some benefits. and also list some negatives you think this hosting has. have you been happy with it so far?

I have gone through about 5 free hosts so far and Xisto is the best by far. For uptime, I don't know a precent but the servers are always up unless their is a problem. There hasn't been any problems lately but in the past the mysql database has gone down for a couple hours. The worst downtime I think was 2 days when the servers got messed up. The hosting package has many nice features, many pre-installed scripts via fantistico.I also like Xisto a lot because if you need any help with scripting your site or computer problems or basically anything, you can make a post on this forum and someone is always happy to help This forum has helped me many times with scripting and comptuer problems. It's a very nice source of information. Almost everyone is friendly, especially the mods unless you break the rules But yea, this a great host. I would recommend it :DxJedix

Well, according to me Xisto is the best service available at this point of time. Now, this is my point of view..may not be of everyone else!

The reason for which I like it is..that it has everything original in it!
Becasue the rules are such in which everyone has to write there own words and the credit system gives you credits on the amount of text you type in & not on the no. of posts...You'll find a lot of places where people just type one-liners but according to me that is bad! what happens because of one-liners...people wont understand you point..what exactly you want to say, this can cause things to flame..where people start getting aggressive...but over here...everything is calm and people enjoy typing long tutorials and topics..this gives them extra credits.

I joined few months back and the uptime has been always good! There are hardly any downtimes, there was one major as the guy has mentioned but it was not of two days..it came back in 1 day itself.

This site checks the uptime of the Xisto...sister concern of Xisto! and same is with Xisto as well...they have almost same stats!

I joined the Xisto for it's free hosting a month ago or so. I am very satisfied with the services and uptimes. Not only is it free, but it has no ads. The best part of it all is that it has all of the features of a paid host. In fact, the cpanel I use has more features than the one of my old host. Your are not gonna find any better hosting than Xisto, if you do it isn't gonna be cheap. The great thing about the hosting here is that sure you have to post in the forums, but it is easy, and is fun once you start doing it. I am very satisfied with all of the services. My site works perfectly fine and is always up. The only time it was down was when the servers were being moved. I really didn't mind though because they were being moved to a better server with more uptime. If you don't want to pay for hosting and want it without ads and all the features, then Xisto is the place to be.

Though i'm not a hosted member yet..but i've seen that many ppl here are very much satisfied with this service..Obviously free web hosting that too ad-free!!! You wont get to find it that anywhere else..

I would be skeptical if I heard only the good things about Xisto. It's either the service is THAT good or only members who are satisfied with Xisto are replying to this thread.Perhaps... I would be a liar if I said that I am 100% satisfied with Xisto's service, especially when we migrated our hosting server to a dedicated server. There were few ups and downs but the important issue is that it was resolved within acceptable time frame.But chew on this: any paying hosting service will have issues when a server migrates. And I have yet to find affordable hosting plan that offered dedicated server to hosting members. Yet, Xisto is free and IS offering dedicated server. So, to say that experiencing 2 days of down time in a month is VERY acceptable. It's very acceptable since that was the maximum days that it went down during the server migration. Since my hosting day with Xisto, other than my own personal mistake, my hosting never went down more than once a month and no longer than 3 hours at a time. I would say that I am very satisfied with my FREE service. I just can't go wrong with Xisto.

Well, it's been around a month or so after I host the Xisto site. The facilities given is great indeed. I'm satisfied for that, with all the PHP and MySQL contents which I rarely see.And the top of it, your site will have no ads at all, that's absolutely great. The site owner really do a very good job to do that.However, even it's been a month I've come here I don't really has many experiences with Xisto. Well... it's because I constantly escape my virtual life and guess what? I often get - hosting credits (minus). I do hope I have more time to do my virtual life. Still though my reality life is harder every minutes... how I long my past life before I knew Internet...

I've gone through many hosts during my time, and I've been through 3 hosts that support PHP, and so far Xisto has to be the best for mine. Even though I've been a away for a little bit, Its been the most stable server so far in my short time here. Fantastico and the Cpanel here is the most up to date and has a lot of pre-installed scripts.In addition to the hosting, the community here is very helpful when you need help on scripting, design tips or whatever, the users are happy to help. The forum has helped me with information and given some good debates. Virtually everyone here is friendly and I would probably recommend this host to anyone else.Cheers
