realthor 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2005 this is a cool software that can help designers where other programs can't, namely when planning and sketching a web site.It supports sketching input, allows design at different refinement levels, and gives a global view of levels through zooming.On the Univercity of Washington's web page (the creators of this software)sais that it was created with the support and advice of web profesionals and that many web designers need such a tool for increasing productivity.As i am just a beginner in the web design area and don't have time to deepen I must believe them.If you're interested you can take a look at http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/-if you are web profesionals then you can tell me if the tool is that important in the process of planning a web site:) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

rvalkass 5 Report post Posted November 8, 2005 I agree. This program just looks like Paint, but has the added feature of being able to export your designs and add hyperlinks to them. Just look at the demo site! Personally I think either pen and paper or a whiteboard are best, or a graphics tablet if you are really obsessed with the PC. Tyssen 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2005 If it wasn't on a University domain, I'd think it was a piss-take. I can't see why anyone would need to add any more functionality at the sketch stage. A sketch is just going to be the very roughest representation of what your layout's going to look like.You're going to do most of the work in a real graphics program before moving to your text editor to create the code. mixxoys 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2007 Yeah, Its kinda useless, its cool, but useless. I usually try to sketch out all of my designs in photoshop, and then im able to easily export the images to get a headstart.
