Signature Problem this one is a new one

Recommended Posts

I've just recently been told by some moderator that i should stop putting a text link to my site, hosted here becasue i could give my extra posting credits and that i should use a signature instead. Has anyone here ever had that told to them. It was a pretty message though but one line written all in red saying that i should not ignor this message.Oh look not going to sign this one at all. I don't want to get in trouble. This that kills me though is that so many people are spamming here now. I've made several complains about people posting online gaming links telling everyone how easy it is to make money playing online. crazy.

I've seen you placing them in your post around but I think that they feel that its better to place it in your sig than every post, and since the moderator and admins wants it that way, and it can save your time of placing the link and you can just place it in your sig why not?

The link on my site can be seen on my signature and I think that's the safest way to go. As far as I know we're not allowed to promote/advertise our own websites in our posts except in topics requiring them like in the Review section. :)

Honestly, I have clicked the link to your site in your posts many times, so the method of gaining visitors by putting it in your post does work. On the other hand, you're (I wouldn't say spamming) going off-topic a little bit because on some of your posts, the link has nothing to do with the post. The safest way to go is to just put it in your signature. That way, it'll appear in all of your posts, and if a spider happens to crawl this page, your page rank will increase.

my god this place really makes me laugh. I mean especially the posting right above. Most people's sig's have really nothing to do with their posting either. The link is just that, a link to my site. No promotion here, and i have better ways of generating traffic than just adding it to a couple of posting i make here(posting i make only to maintain space here).round

look Round didn't post his signature in the above post.

Now to finalize the issue:

1. Put your link in your signature located in the User CP: http://forums.xisto.com/index.php?act=UserCP&CODE=22
2. If you put it in a post that has nothing to do with, you will be warned, No IF, AND, or BUT's about it.
3. End of Topic, End of Discussion
4. Everyone else abides by this rule, Your no Different.
