My site's practically done. I'm so happy. You can see the layout I finally settled on here. I left the sitemap page missing so you guys could see my wonderfully drawn monkey on the 404 page. I am so skillful at drawing, aren't I? :D

Anyways, I could never find this forum before. Mine were always posted in the creativity forum which was saddening because as much as I posted there, I didn't get post count. Anyways - feast your eyes!

Be brutal, I don't care. For those of you who've already seen this, nothing's really new about it except that I've finished a bunch of pages. And they all validate :D

I think that is a really good site. I especially like the layout because it puts everything right in front of you so you can get a basic overview of each page without scrolling down. Also there are no colors that strain the eyes and that is always a plus.

It's quite a good design, though I feel the amount of text is a little overwhelming (ie banner + side box + main text + bottom bar) - I would suggest replacing a banner or two with images, or spreading out the text more in the page. I'm also personally not a fan of grey + pink, the grey gets to me - I feel a straight pink, yellow and white colour scheme would lighten/brighten the mood a whole lot. However it does look quite polished, and seem practical enough :DI like cheese you know. I don't think it's so bad receiving it :D - it should be the top option :DJust my two cents :D

Haha, I write a lot. I guess it's just me. I could try lightening the gray, but because of the doctype bar showing up as gray, I decided to make the background gray to try and hide it. It didn't really work. I could very easily make the backgruond lighter gray or white. It's true that it doesn't exactly fit in with the theme, but I think I was going for something techy and gray was right there :/

And yeah, I love cheese. But for one of the users to hand me a piece of cheese would be kind of difficult. It would be quite nasty by the time they got to me. I think that's where it came from.

I personally really like it :DI love the little monkey thing and the general style and image the site has. quite cute and koo, but also quite proffesional, so well done.I like the layout formatting you've chosen and especially like the pink and grey graphics for the header and footer. I also really like the little Custom Validation buttons. Its also good that it is nearlly all validated.Clear Fonts and good formatting. The only thing i don't like is the background, not the actual image but the fact it stops and goes white at the far right.Overall 7/10Nice simple design with cute graphics/style

Ooh, thank you :D I tried to go for cute this time around. I went horribly off on my other sites. I admit I need to work on the background. The area inside the curve was my attempt at putting in a bit more light gray than dark gray, but I think I'll switch it around or something so it's easier to read. Maybe I'll implement more monkeys :D

And the validation was actually a spur of the moment thing. Just one of those "let's try this out" things and I figured out it was for the better. I barely cared about it before I read that accessibility article and started work on this :D

But thanks again. I've had complaints about the header fonts a couple of times, so I'll look into that again. I'm a little rusty in Photoshop since I primarily use Fireworks, but I'll see what I can do for both the background and the other images.

Well, first of all good stuff, valid XHTML 1.1 Strict. I give you a thumbs up for that. However, I'm currently veiwing this site ona 17' monitor, and the problem is, your background image is meant for a 15'. This to me, is a bad aspect of the site. You can fix this problem with some css, by simply replacing the image with a background color, then using some css to float the image of the cat-like animal on the side. So no matter what the size of the monitor, your page renders the same.Right now, I see an big fat 2 inch white border around your entire site. -_-Other ideas:* Adding a bit more padding to the text, as well as line-height attributes would be an added plus, and make the site easier to read.* I find the text size a bit too big, perhaps "11px;"?* Colors: not too exciting, but ok. :P* Regarding header fonts, try turning off anti-aliasing on your pixel fonts. It should make it much easier to read. And more professional.Overall, I think you did a good job on the accessibility part, and a good job on the site, but can be even better with a bit more time and effort. :Pcheers, whyme

-The site was made on a 17 inch and it works well in the three main browers (Firefox, IE, Opera) - any specs on your computer, maybe?-They have both line-height (150%) and padding, but I could fix that on some pages.-It is 11 pixels -_--I toned down the colors - neutrals are easier to read on.-Yeah, I haven't worked on that in ages. It's all because of the background. The actual font is all right on a white background. -Thank you! That took the longest time :P

muahaha My Turn :D lol.The site is really professional looking and I love the color scheme. I clicked on the validate thingy and it said you got some errors. There's not many so you can sort it out. Iclicked from the front page by the way. There's nothing really wrong with your site apart from the pixelated font, that looks a bit like it's been pulled.I'm surprised you don't get many comments, because your website looks kind of popular.-Good amount of content.Sooo excellent basically! :)

OOOOOO, hot pink, hot pink is always good, but you need a color to contrast with it. Something darker would be good, too many bright colors. Nice try with the pixelated stuff, but me no likey. The pixelated words give me the SNES Rpg feel, and I am trying to get away from that stuff. Lol, what are quips?Anyways, any site with pink is a gogo with me, I like how you validated your site, not many people do that anymore, and for the alignment it would be better if its all the way to the left or in the middle, I should really end my sentence right now, too many commas, oh yah, one more thing, is CuteNews any good?(There, ended my sentence)

Thanks! It's probably doesn't get comments because barely anyone knows about it and it doesn't have any content yet that would interest anyone. I'm looking for other cutenews templates that will actually validate. I think if I switched it to HTML, it might validate, but I like my XHTML more :/

The pixel font still looks weird? Hmm, maybe I should find one that's designed to be a little bigger. It looks great small, but it tends to stretch even if it's a few pixels bigger.

I can't seem to make a fun looking site because it ends up screwing up. I'll put that on my list :D
