Logo (possibly!) Need your opinions..

Recommended Posts

Hey all, it's me again!

I've been working on a logo for my website for a bit now and I think I'm close to finishing. Still needs a bit of work. But before I go any further with this graphic, I would like your opinion on how it looks.

Please, keep in mind that this image isn't completely finished yet and that you are seeing a larger verion of the image than I would actually have on my site. Any suggestions, comments and/or advice would be appreciated... Or you can just rate it on a 1-10 scale.

Thanks! Here's the image

[Edit: Image removed to save bandwidth and due to the fact that I have decided not to use this as my logo and have recently begun a new project for my web design. Further details will be posted in the future. Thanks for all the help...]

I'm sorry, I have absolutely no idea of what you were trying to say.. I'm sure it would have been a good suggestion if I could have understood what it was you were talking about. Hopefully you or someone else can put it into words that I can understand... :(

Btw: Thanks for the 7 ket...

heheh

ok what i was trying to say is that you ought to use colors with more saturation in those flamy twisty thingis :D couse for now the color cast of your artwork looks like if you had left it on the sun ::( 25 years and found it yesterday :(

and if you decide to chage the color cast to a bit more lively i recomend to use small and slight gradients

was this clear?
i hope so :(

take care

I knew there was a good suggestion in that somewhere. Thanks for clarifying that better for me. Now I get what you're saying... :D

Anywho, thanks for the suggestion. As I said, this image is still being worked on and changed. But hopefully the finished product is a lot more pleasing on the eye and it isn't as, um.., bright as it is right now. I will be updating this graphic soon, hopefully it looks much better then.

Thanks again,

to generate a logo you have to get a concept... then think about your site... is your logo saying all about your site?... think about anyone that will se your logo... immediately will see all content in you page...

best logos that stick to mind are those logos which are simple and can standout even when rendered in monochrome. imagine logos by IBM, SONY,MiCro$ofT, APPLE... i would suggest (ToxiqueSprite before right? :() with a pencil sketch firstand not be too caught up in a rainbow of colors (although it's not that bad) :D imagine your logo as black and white and see if it will appear nice in a t-shirt, cap, or mug. hehhe? (you won't know how famous your logo wouldbecome in the future, right? so, envision merchandising ala-George Lucas fromthe very beginning of logo design :(). if it does not look good as an outline,re-design. :( then add colors later if you still want it that way. :(

Thanks for the suggestion. I hadn't thought of it that way. This is by far the best suggestion/advice I've been given with web design as of yet. I really appreciate all of the comment, suggestions and advice everyone has given. But as I said, this was just a possibility for a logo. I have actually started a different concept that is currently still in it's beginning stages. After I have it mostly complete, I will probably add it for review.

Thanks again for all the great suggestions/advice,

P.S. Yes, before my SN was ToxiqueSprite...
