What do news scripts such as Fusion News and Cute News do?Does it provide local news or global news or something? Or is it something else?

not sure about fusion news, but basically cutenews is like the news section of a php*nuke website - admins can add or edit news and anyone can add comments to news topics, also with readmore ability
