Pointing A Domain Name To My Trap Site

Recommended Posts

Hi,I bought two domain names. I pointed one to my Xisto account root. It works perfecttly. My doubts come while pointing the other one. I would like to point the other one to a subfolder of my Xisto domain. For example:http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ --> should point to --> mizako.trap17.com/domain2/Just now i just went to CPanel/Parke Domains/ and i add there the domain2. Now i have boths domain names pointing to the my Xisto root. Can anyone tell me how to do to point the second one to a subfolder? Thanks in advanced.

I don't believe that you can point a domain to a specific folder within your domain. I suggest that you move all the contents of the "/domain2" folder to , meaning somelike http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/. You can make a new subdomain in cpanel. Afterwards, you can point that subdomain to another domain.

Thanks whyme,

I created the subdomain http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ (now this sub-domain point to the www/domain2 "magically") but how do i point now the new domain name to that subdomain? In CPanel "Parked Domains" i added the domain but i do not find the option to point it to the correct subdomain.

Thanks in advanced!

You will have to use the ADD-ON Domain feature in order to point a domain to a folder on your site :-)
