Google Affiliate Network Has anyone tried it?

To be honest, until a few days ago, I was unaware of the existence of Google's affiliate program. I have a healthy information about other affiliate programs out there like Commission junction, click bank, amazon affiliates, but I never heard of Google Affiliate Program.Affiliate marketing is one area I never got. I have tried different programs but none works for me. I have a healthy website to place my affiliate products on, but there is something I don't do right. Maybe the traffic I get is not enough to make me a successful affiliate. But that's another story. For the time, I just need reviews on google affiliate network.So has anyone tried this network before? When I signed-up for the program, it looked a bit restricted. In first place, you have to get your website approved by Google. Then aferwards, you have to get approved by every program you apply to join. The process can take weeks or even more. Moreover there is not enough information about how much you would get when you make a successful sale. Probably I can't get to the information, but in either case it is not a good thing. The information should be available easily to every one.Thus I can say that my first impression of the Google affiliate program was not very good. I was not impressed. I was expecting something of the level of google adsense.However, there is a possibility that I was unable to extract enough information. I have registered my website (which has been approved) but I haven't started displaying their products on my website yet. I am waiting and trying to do some in depth research about the program first. If I cannot make good money with it, I am not going to waste my time on it at all. I would rather go for another program.Can anyone guide me or tell me more about google affiliate program? Any help is appreciated.
