File Sharing Windows Xp And Vista Issue [solved]

ok, this might be just a simple fix but i'm stuck trying to figure out what i'm missing....i've got an xp and vista fileshared... problem is, i can access shared folders on XP machine from Vista but when i tried to open shared folders on Vista from XP i get permission deniednow the Vista machine has password login, (i don't wanna disable password login) but i have enabled everything on network sharing under Vista.... wouldn't Vista prompt me about accessing to enter username/password? help please... cheers

OK, looks like a network permission problem. I guess that you have a shared folder on your vista system?
First have look if you see the vista computer on the network. In a command-line window, type

net view
and check that you see the vista computer.
Then, use the following command line syntax on the XP system :
net use * \\vystacomputername\vistasharedfolder /user:vistauser
Of course you replace "vistacomputername" by the network name of your vista computer, and "vistasharedfolder" is the name of the share on the vista system, and "vistauser" is the name of the vista user.
The system will ask you the password of the vista user, and then you will see an answer like "the Z: disk is now mounted"

i get the System error 1219

also i have disabled password on the Vista Machine... i can view the default Vista shared folders (Public) and open into them, but the folder that i share-enabled can't be accessed although i can see the folder on My Network Places from XP...

it must be some setting that i'm missing...
