Finally Free Domain No Adds

Recommended Posts

uni.cc and co.cc domains don't look professional. Same is with co.nr. There is no point in such domains. Buy your own domain if you want business out of it. Else stick with subdomain. Subdomains are much better than these domains.

Completely agree. Everyone knows about .co.nr, .uni.cc, .tf etc. People know that these are used because the Webmaster doesnt want to pay money for a proper domain. If you have to use these, they should only be used for testing or personal websites that dont need to have the 'professional look'.

At less than ÂŁ5 for a .co.uk domain or ÂŁ10 for a .com for a year, its hardly worth getting a free domain that will be slow, have pop ups if not proper ads and downtime will be also be an issue.

.com domains are the dominant. If you consider starting up a business to profit and you want to get your "name" into people's heads.. you own a .com. You can get away with a .net address though even that is not as effective as a .com name. People will take you seriously and are more likely to visit if they see that .com on the top address. There is just something about it that feels authentic.. probably because it was the very first suffix to be used on the Internet. And going over 20 years strong, it is here to stay! After you've gotten your .com domain, if you want to begin to add these little extra domains (and you should never pay for them, honestly) to your pool ... to increase Google's index of finding your site, or whatever the case may be, than I don't think it could ever hinder your standing. But if you start out with anything other than a domain, it will likely hurt your image or be hard to accumulate any hardcore big fan base of visitors.

If your going to set up a business online then you will need to make your website know and easy for people to remember your websites url.Sub domains or free domains will definitely not work, people will forget your websites url and will never return back to the site. However, with paid domains such as .com, .co.uk and .net people will remember them and will come back to your website and will take your website more professionally. With a .com and .co.uk people can remember these so easy and these domains are great for your website. However with .net, they are easy to remember but .net is not as popular as .co.uk or .co.ukGoogle is the rank 1 website in the world/on internet and it uses .com and .co.uk, so people are most likely to remember these 2 domains the easiest ;)

You can never feel certain about how the free domain end up.Let's say, what if it ends up to be a paid domain or simply not available after 3 years? During the 3 years, you have build up some user base and reputation. Your efforts are not free. Time you spend on the site is valuable-- this can be translated as money. After the free domain gone, you start opening shop from the beginning? That means, 3 years salary are wasted. If for site development purpose, a free subdomain can serve you as good as free domains.
