Make Lightning In Gimp How to make a lightning image in gimp

In this tutorial I will be showing a tutorial on how to make an image like the one above you using gimp

 

LIGHTNING TUTORIAL

 

1. Open Gimp

2. Make a new file (450x450)

3. Go to Dialogs > Brushes

4. Click New Brush

5. Make one with the following settings

Radius - 45.5

Spike - 2

Hardness 100.0

Aspect Ratio - 1.0

Angle - 0

Spacing - 4.3

6. Now make a little design on the left side half black, but dont do straight line either

7. Now go to filters > Blur > Gaussin Blur

Make sure it says the same thing as below

Horizontal - 98.0

Verticle - 98.0

8. Now go to Renders > Clounds > Difference Clouds

Put

Detail - 15

X-Size - 9.7

Y-Size - 9.4

Now you should have something that looks like black lightning

8. Go to Colors > Invert

9. Now go to Colors> Levels

Now on the screen put the following

Above the word output levels put 239

After were you put 239 in the next box put 1.00

After were you put 1.00 in the next box put 255

Then after the output levels on the left put 255

Click ok

10. Go to colors > colorize

Play with the colors

but always keep lightness 0, and saturation 100.

 

 

Now you sould have something like the image I put above
