Dell just announced that they will have OEM preinstalled into their new Dell Precision desktops at a low low price of $709 USD with tonnes of new offers.

It will include the new RedHat Enterprise Linux 3.

huge! i love it. wasn't too long ago, in the US, wal-mart started selling a linux based OS system for $500 (since i'm not in the US, i can't confirm that - it's just what i read.anyways, i'm very happy about all this - mostly because i've been fed up with microsoft for a while now - for obvious reasons. when 99% of all home computer users require 1) web browser for email and surfing 2) dialup capabilities (ie a modem) 3) some sort of software for spreadsheets and word processing (ie openoffice).no more! so this kind of stuff is going to catch...
