Webservers For Unix

Recommended Posts

Are you talking about Unix or about Linux ?Because an apache server is usually built-in in every standard Linux distros. And, of course, the apache server is free, and is available for probably each Unix distro, and the sources are available if you don't find a server ready-made for your Unix.

Does he mean to run a webserver on a UNIX server (remember Linux is a UNIX clone so they are hand in hand) and remote control it on his Mac?I have a FreeBSD server and I control it using SSH on my Windows and Mac machines.xboxrulz

Why not using the Apache server embedded in the Mac ?

See more here : http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

Or, why not, here : https://www.google.fr/search?hl=fr&q=apr+mac&meta= :o

this is true too. Apache is automatically run on all Macs, just copy files to your "Sites" folder.
