FirefoxRocks 0 Report post Posted May 10, 2008 Ok I tried accessing cPanel using SSL and various security warnings came up. The one in Firefox 3 looks like this: Secure Connection Failedportal.trap17.com:2083 uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not trusted because it is self signed. The certificate is only valid for gamma.xisto.com.(Error code: sec_error_untrusted_issuer) * This could be a problem with the server's configuration, or it could be someone trying to impersonate the server. * If you have connected to this server successfully in the past, the error may be temporary, and you can try again later. Or you can add an exceptionâŚYou should not add an exception if you are using an internet connection that you do not trust completely or if you are not used to seeing a warning for this server.Similar errors appear in Internet Explorer and Opera. Then it says that "Legitimate banks, trusted sites, etc do not ask you to do this". So is it same to use SSL to access my cPanel, or is someone trying to intercept my data with this security certificate?
