Andlinux Behaves Strangely On Dell Inspiron 1501 Laptop

I installed andLinux on this Dell laptop and as soon as you start any Linux app it gets flooded with a bunch of equal signs (as you can see in the videoclip below), I have no idea why. Remember, nobody is keying in one equal sign every second. It's just the weird behavior of this laptop. I have successfully installed andLinux on other PCs and it works as expected.

I first suspected that it would be a keylogger or some such malware, but I scanned the laptop for viruses, spyware and rootkits and it came out clean.
