Linux Kernel 2.6.24 Released

Recommended Posts

The latest stable version of the Linux kernel 2.6.24 has just been released.

https://www.kernel.org/

This kernel brings a lot of changes (the changelog is HUGE). According to Linus, most of the stuff is one-liners, and mostly not very exciting ones at that.
There is however a new BroadCom driver, b43, a continuation of the existing bcm43xx driver, you will notice a significant performance improvement when you switch.

I think upgrade whenever Ubuntu upgrades. I am not familiar with the technical parts of Linux and I do not want to damage my distribution, although my files are stored on another.
