hazim 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2007 (edited) i use kaspersky anti-virus from a long time, and it is the most anti-virus that i liked; it is easy to use and efficient...i have windows xp2. from a few days, when windows finishs startup, kaspersky takes about 2 minutes to open (appear in the notification area); so i have to wait for it in order to use the computer; otherwise, the computer is very slow in these two minutes.i tried uninstalling the anti-virus but it didn't work. so if anybody can help me to solve this problem, i thank him very much.thank you all. Jeigh1405241495 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2007 Well, I do not have this program myself but I'll run through a few things worth checking. First, as always, I'll reccomend running your spyware/adware programs to clean the system, while probably not the culprit since its always this one program being sluggish you never know, and it never hurts to clean off the old drives so might as well. Past this, go into the program and check if it has any "on startup" maintenance it runs, you may be able to schedule these things to run in the middle of the night or on demand rather then on the program initialization. Finally, I'd recommend checking on the actual kapersky forums or forums that handle anti virus programs more specifically so you can get responses from people who are more focused on this type of software. Good luck
