I want to ask about credits , How do I know my credits ?

You can see the on the forum home page, just below the shoutbox.

Is there a way to ask for more space

You have applied for the Web Hosting Package #1. If you want to upgrade your account (for more space and bandwidth), you will need 30 credits. When you acquire that amount and decide to upgrade your account, create a topic in the Upgrade Request forum. You will have to use the Upgrade Request Form.

The menu button at the top of the Xisto forum Credits does not function right ?

Only the first and the last link aren't valid (this will be fixed eventually).

Also I get a notice in Internet Explorer when I go to my cpanel that the security certificate is not valid why ?

That's because the certificate is by the Xisto Corporation (https://xisto.com/), which is not the URL of your web site. Nothing to worry about.

Another error here in the forum the famous ( Done, but with errors on page. )

If it all works fine, then there is no problem. Start using Firefox, and you won't have this message

Does photos shown or attached counts credits ?

No, images do not increase your credit count. The same goes for text inside the QUOTE, CODE, HTML and other similar tags.

Who should I ask if a tutorial posted by me is accepted/rejected or not yet reviewed

Any moderator or administrator.

While looking at the members list I noticed that there are some members with post count -2 or -1 what does it mean ?

This is probably a consequence of numerous forum upgrades.

When I trid to view asta hosted sites NOD32 antivirus showed me a warning about a trojan ?!!!! what is the problem ?

The directory isn't functional, so there is no need to visit it.

Why - just wonder - changing cpanel password costs 10 credits ?

Resetting the cPanel password costs 10 credits - if you lose it, you will have to pay in order to get a new one. You can, however, change the password manually in cPanel itself.

You will have credits deducted from your account at the rate of 1 credit every 24 hours. So, you will lose 0.5 credits in 12 hours etc...

You can do whatever you want with your credits. I think most people here understand that most members want more credits. We generally don't request payment for help here but there isn't any rule against that. Please remember, the staff will not get involved in your trades! If you design a website for someone and they don't transfer credits to you afterwards, there is nothing we can do about it!

The credit transfer option was designed to allow a member to voluntarily transfer credits to someone if they felt that the member had been very helpful with their problem. Additionally, we thought that some people might benefit from requesting help in exchange for credits! For example, I have a logo design challenge that I will award 30 credits to the winner.

hot linking!

Well, we allow it if used responsibly! If you are hoping to run a website on another host and to save bandwidth there, host all of your images here; we don't allow that! If you want to make your content available to others to use on their website by direct link, we do allow that as long as it doesn't negatively affect the server.

You can have as many sub-domains as you wish on your account.

You are currently using the default www sub-domain on your account I imagine!

With cPanel, you can add even more.

if your domain was this:

http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

then you would have sub-domains like this:

members.mydomainname.org or new.members.mydomainname.org

You will not have a Xisto.com sub-domain name if you set your account up with your own domain name.

If you have an Xisto sub-domain or even your own domain name, you can add additional domain names to the account with the Add on feature in cPanel and each of those domains can also have sub-domains. The options are pretty limitless in this area!

Hope this helps,

Yup - very much so. You can make a post like that and offer your services to other members. You should include a detailed list of your specialisations in order to increase your chances of getting a job. As for the credits exchange you've to negotiate with your prospective client directly.

Cheers,

Hello miCRoSCoPiC^eaRthLinG ,May I suggest you add a section for this offers so everyone can post their offers in . I geuss it will be very good also to assist as an admin. in the credit transfer process If you have some extra time for it . I think it will be cool to have like a graphic designer and html/php/javascript coders , forums admins and moderators part/full time etc.. in the same place , this will be a cool offer in Xisto .Thank You

Ok, so I see that there may be a need for Freelance!!?? That is up my alley... I could handle doing some contract for credit... Sounds quite fun, and ehem, sounds quite challenging... I mean it shouldn't be too bad; depending upon what type of project would be needed... A simple image or whatnot would be different then a web page, a web site... etc...But I like that idea... and why not... This is a web community, and why not barter and trade goods with other members. It helps to help one another along, so everyone can get by with what is needed... whether it be a supply or a demand. As long as there is a good balance between.I think that is a wise choice... Maybe a forum site for Site Trades... Some could help with forum, others HTML, hosting... well, it could go on and on...Kudos, for bringing up such a great trade template!- bob -

You would have to be hosted at Xisto in order to be able to recieve and send credits. Otherwise, people would be able to abuse the credit system, which we definitely do not want
