Vyoma 0 Report post Posted October 8, 2006 OK. I have a Xisto account here: kmaheshbhat.astahost.com/ I also have a domain name parked: wisetome.com/ On the root public_html, I have installed Drupal, and it is running fine. Now, I installed a WordPress engine in public_html/cao directory. And it works out fine. When I type wisetome.com/cao/ it properly goes to the blog. But after it goes there it shows it as kmaheshbhat.astahost.com/cao/ That is annoying. It should show it as wisetome.com/cao/ itself! I even went to the admin login of WordPress and changed both WordPress Address URI and Blog URI to wisetome.com/cao/ What should I do?
faulty.lee 0 Report post Posted November 15, 2006 Try check your domain setting at CP. Seems like your hosting is redirecting your park domain. OK. lifetalk 0 Report post Posted June 9, 2007 (edited) Parked domains are what they are. Parked. That's it. They basically redirect to the original domain name. Nothing more. And then, the usual old domain/subdomain is used.As far as my experience goes, your only option is to reinstall wordpress, but this time add the domain as an Addon domain, and then install wordpress on the domain.Since you installed it on a subdomain, the table entries in the database have all the permalinks, internal links, etc, based on the subdomain. So, the only way out is to reinstall it.Good Luck, and hope you find a solution.
