miCRoSCoPiC^eaRthLinG 0 Report post Posted May 3, 2006 Don't think so - this forum's been lying dormat over a LOOONG period of time. I'm fairly decent in .NET oriented languages though - C# and VB.NET primarily. I've long given up on VB6 and never bothered trying out VBScript.Still if you want to share your code samples with us - not a problem at all. Just go ahead

And also most of my vbulliten coding has involved, admin, skin and BBCode. To the best of my knowledge, VBScript is a scripting fork of the language Visual Basic and has got absolutely nothing to do with vB (vBulletin) - the forum software.. unless you mean a version of vB that was written in VBScript.. in which case, it won't be called VBScript anymore, but ASP or ASP.NET

Endoidx 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2007 I use VBScript very often. It is one of my favorite scripting languages, because variables are easy to call locally, and it is very easy to call upon objects involved in HTML. I learned Visual Basic as my first programming language, and VBScript just came naturally. So, I guess I am a regular. For a long time I used it to avoid other languages, like Javascript. In some aspects, VBScript is very quick and easy to use windows stuff. EX. Msgbox "VBSCRIPT"I think the main reason not many people use it anymore is because, its getting sort of old, and it really cant do some of the things that the new languages can do. VBScript is straight-forward and easy, I would definitely recommend it to beginners.
