snlildude87 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2005 Wow, your site looks very professional. Congratulations! Since your site is mostly comprised of sliced images, I recommend you add alternative text in case someone is using the Lynx browser, or you made a mistake in coding. Also, to compete with other company's web hosting plans, I think you should raise the number of MySQL databases, FTP accounts, Email Aliases, etc. to unlimited. Just a suggestion. You don't have to make it unlimited, companies like Dreamhost are doing that. Having an HTML valid site could also be beneficial to you and your customers because it helps if your content is viewable across and browsers. You can go to http://validator.w3.org/ to check your site against their validation service. Other than that, it looks really impressive! Keep up the good work! unicornrose 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2005 I know what company your are reselling for because I am reselling for them too. I do like your site it does look very professional. However the loading time for some of the graphics is a little too long. I am not sure what you can do to fix that. Maybe reduce the dpi if its larger than say 72dpi. I am on dsl and you want fast load time on dial up. Yes there are still people on dial up. If it takes a minute or two for the site to load on dsl it will take 5 to 10 minutes on dial up. Finding ways to reduce the mb of your graphics without actually makint the images smaller in size is the key. I used to work for a web based company and that is what we did to reduce loading time. We always took into consideration that a goodly portion of people still use dial up.
spacemonkey 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2005 The wizard that has been designed to help users is, well, annoying. The design looks really busy graphically, which gives the site a more professional feel, but overall you can cut down on bandwidth usage and loading times by cutting down on the images. But, in the end, it looks great. Good job.
finaldesign 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2005 It's OK, but you must be designing and layouting for all type of users, and for that people with slow connections too... Im on DSL and i load your page pretty quickly but Im pretty sure that on 56K it's slow. Anyway it's classic design for hosting sites, you might try to get some attention with some contrasting colors like black/white, or white/silver - it looks more pro that way... Try to use as many as 2 colors for your template, if you know what I mean... I see you are using silver, orange, blue, light blue and dark silver - it's a bit too much - isn't?Someone said: "1 color is ok, two is enogh, 3 is too much"... Im talking about designing now, anyway try to make something with 2, or 3 colors, and use that colors in warious shades, like from very light blue to dark blue, that way you'll get one-color template, and still looking pro, and what is most important it's enjoyable for eye. Pictures that you are using are OK, just make sure you have copyright for them "Short About" and "Our Vision" sections are little too close to that "Domain regstration" box, you might want to slice it up better and make some equal layout to that sections, leave some whitespace (not really white just empty) for the content - because it must have some "air"... Later you might center whole content of page. That Agent is really annoying, but I understand if you need to make some attention... It really got mine, at first I didn't realize it's coming from your site.. :)So, anyway, get down to bussiness, keep up the nice & good work, and no hard feelings, these comment's are just to make you better, Im not trying to offend you or something... Good luck with your website!
whyme 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2005 First of all, congrats on the creative site design. However, Im having some problems viewing the site in FireFox, as the top portion of your site is completely cut off. Otherwise, everything looks really nice. (Though the Wizard is somewhat annoying, flying around and stuff )
millertime 0 Report post Posted March 25, 2005 i really like the design except for the top part of the site is off the top of the screen and i cant scroll up to see it also the wizard dude is sort of annoying, but kind of cool. how did you do that? what scripting language did you use to put him in there like that???? i'm very interesting in knowing if you would be so kind as to tell me
thebluekirby 0 Report post Posted March 25, 2005 Like everyone else sasy, it looks pretty professional. But try to make some of the colors match so the layout looks nicer :PThe wizard is really cute and helpful <3 but it can get annoying after wards when it won't go away and you have to make it go away yourself . But very nice! The prices are very cheap! Me likey <3 But maybe you can offer a few more hosting plans for cheaper, like around 500 mb. I was about to sign up, but I thought 2500 space was too much Oh, some of the top part of the page is cut off...maybe you should fix that ;;;Overall, Good effort and awesome prices! Nice layout and great conent! I'll give you an 8/
