How to setup a connection to printer in network with TCP/IP

 

Go to Control Panel > Printers and Other Hardware > Printers and Faxes, click on “Add a printer” and Select Local Printer and click Next, check Create a new port at the bottom on the window ,Select Standard TCP/IP Port from drop down menu

Enter printer name or IP address and port name and click next and follow wizard

 

Network Diagnostics

You can use Network Diagnostics to scan your System to find information about your network connection hardware, software.

Click Start menu > Run > in dialog box type “NETSH DIAG GUI”

Windows Help and Support Center will be displayed, “click on Scan Your System”

Network Diagnostics will display below information

>> Mail Service

>> News Service

>> Internet Protocol Address

>> Internet Proxy Server

>> Computer Information

>> Operating System

>> Windows Version

>> Modems

>> Network Clients

>> Network Adapters

>> Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP)

>> Default Gateways

>> Windows Internet Naming Service (WINS)

>> Domain Name System (DNS)

and …
