abhishek 0 Report post Posted September 11, 2005 There is A problem with the win98SE installation. I formatted the hard disk and reinstalled windows98SE and all the other drivers. But there seems to be a problem with the sound driver. The windows detects the sound driver but when i use win media player it doesn't work. Does anyone know the cause of the problem? vizskywalker 0 Report post Posted September 11, 2005 Two words: System specs. without information on your system, sound card, driver, and media player version, we cannot help you, just offer random guesses.~Viz
jipman 0 Report post Posted September 11, 2005 I've had something similar like this. My old comp had some soundcard which win98 se had standard drivers for. However, those drivers sucked, so everytime I tried to play anything, it simply didn't. Without stuff vizsky mentioned before, my not so random guess would be to try to install the new drivers for your soundcard.
