Text Formatting Tools For DOS/Windows text formatting tools

I had been lately looking to find some text formatting tools, especially to convert the gutenberg etexts into printable matter, the major problem was the word wrap, that caused the a line return to be inserted after 'n' columns.
for example
"hello I am so and so from so and so.com please welcome our guest so and so who is a so and so blah blah blah.
this is to inform you that so and so also has a so and so blah blah blah"

would appear as

"hello I am so and so from so and so.com
please welcome our guest so and so who
is a so and so blah blah blah.

this is to inform you that so and so also
has a so and so blah blah blah"

and make it an almost impossible task to go around deleting all the '\n' characters.

so I looked and looked till I found this real cool page with heaps of great text formatting utilities for windows/dos

I used the one near the end called "remove", they're all free to download and use. And extremely small in size!

Some of those text tools are old. I love Crimson Editor.

I'll recommend you use Emeditor. It's the best in my opinion. I use it to view source of web pages and other files. I'm a handcoder so I really appreciate it's syntax coloring feature. Also it loads as fast as notepad.

If you want to convert text to printable formats you should use pdf. I'll recommend txt2pdf for it. It's not another printer like pdf converter. But a real program.
