Cool Free Fps

I just came across a cool new FPS called Sauerbraten. It's not No. 1 in the looks department (although it looks gorgeous) but it has good gameplay (although it's still in alpha) and its easy in-game mapping abilities mean that there's already a decent number of maps available.

Sauerbraten's "older brother" Cube is mature code and very playable. It's still possible to find people playing Cube online (although the growing playability and stability of Sauerbraten is lowering the number of players) Cube generally looks nice, but again is NOT top of the line.

another pretty decent online game would be americas army. It is top notch and updated often but im probably sure you already know abotu AA.

Hey thanks mad crow looks good so far and has a unreal tournament look to it which i have been craving for a while now since source is kind of growing old on me and battlefiled 2 didnt fill wat i was looking for so maybe this is it and its free great. I dont think i will try cube so i will post back soon with what i think im downloading it now.

Nice, I'll have to try this out. What kind of multiplayer modes are there and how is netcode?

The netcode is pretty good as far as I can tell. Cube's code is VERY advanced and Sauer's does the job (and is constantly improving)

I'll have to check those out sometime, but in between working and all my other games it's hard to test new things sometimes. Also for a free game, Wolfenstein Enemy Territory is fun as well.
