yungblood 0 Report post Posted June 23, 2005 I would like to setup a music studio, and I will need multi channel sound inputs, as well as MIDI. What hardware / Linux ver would be the best for ease, and stability for this kind of professional recording project? I would like a setup that would rival any professional recording studio. The Original YB
the empty calorie 0 Report post Posted June 23, 2005 Hmm, yes, I am curious on how to do the same with OpenBSD, but I figure OpenBSD probably doesn't support much I'd need.
madcrow 0 Report post Posted June 25, 2005 MIDI has been 100% supported in Linux for years. Just make sure that you have a hardware MIDI card. If all you have is the lame little fake sound "codec" built into your motherboard, you're never going to get proper MIDI support. Creative Labs makes good sound cards if you turn out to need one.
