sazz 0 Report post Posted October 28, 2005 Sound Blaster X-Fi Elite ProCreatives latest line of audio cards has a lot of improvements to it. The improved support for various sample rates, simulated surround sound for headphones and 24-bit Crystalizer are just a few. The Elite Pro comes with a very comprehensive external I/O unit for connecting a wide range of audio devices. In addition to this, the Elite Pro uses improved Digital-to-Analog converters for improved signal to noise ratios.
sazz 0 Report post Posted October 28, 2005 see also:Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZSFor those that don't want the bells and whistles of the higher end Platinum series Audigy 2 ZS cards, the standard Audigy 2 ZS features the same software and hardware support as the larger siblings without the internal or external expansion boxes and the remote control. This is great for those just looking for a card to do audio playback for games and movies. The Gamer version of the Audigy 2 ZS also includes five full PC video games that use the Creative techonology.Turtle Beach CatalinaTurtle beach is one of the few competitors left to Creative from the early days of the PC sound card market. Their latest Catalina audio card uses the VIA Envy processor line to provide strong audio performance but not quite up to the level of some of the other newer models. The card still performs well for standard audio playback of music, movies and even video games. It is very much a no frills audio card for those who want a good card at a low price.
