(There/Linux/Graphics-Multimedia Software...) - hope that I choosed right... if not I don't mind moving it around a bit :DI'm looking for a way to create a video tutorials (or other words - capture the screen to video...) - I know that this is simplest that I can think - but I want to find a good and checked way. I know that there is a Video Tutorial about creating a video tutorial (for windows) in Blender 3d resorces, but this is not what I need...I'm interested in free (best if open source) software to capture the screen in Linux - anyone have some experience with it? which apps are good and which not - also if you can point me to some good tutorial this can be enougth as an answer...RegardsGiniu. dungsport 0 Report post Posted May 31, 2005 I dont know if Macromedia has a version of Macromedia Captivate running on Linux. This is a cutting edge tool that I've ever used. It's worth to have a look at it. Others are also available on Windows (I'm not sure if they supports Linux, google it and find out yourself) Camtasia Studio at https://www.techsmith.com/Matchware ScreenCorder at https://www.matchware.com/RiverPast Screen Recorder at http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/Hey, wait, if you could not find any screen recorder on linux, here is the tip.Install VNC or similar service on your linux boxRun VNC client on a Windows machine and connect to the one running LinuxInstall Macromedia Captivate or whatever software you'd like on Windows machine and start recording the VNC client screenHope it helps you out.
