the empty calorie 0 Report post Posted May 24, 2005 Okay, I decided to give debian a try, just out of the blue, but I decided to try a net-install.. So, how exactly do I go about putting together my "custom distro" from the net-install process? Is this all just stuff I do from the console or what?
Giniu 0 Report post Posted May 24, 2005 You are marking your posts with Slackware and want to try Debian? Your choice... I tried ant that wasn't that... any way - if debian - I think you shouldn't go net install... if net-install - try gentoo... this is sugestion... debian is a little messed... but this is a long story and best if you would try it on your own
the empty calorie 0 Report post Posted May 24, 2005 Well, I've always been curious as to what it is like, despite being a die-hard slackware user. Also, it might be easier to put on "customers" computers and have them use, depending on if this packaging system is as good as i hear..
Giniu 0 Report post Posted May 24, 2005 If this is what it is about, then go on... but maybe feed them with some rpm based distro?
