Graphic Design is a diverse and expanding profession encompassing corporate communication , editoral design , advertising , package design , electronic publishing , environmental graphics and motion graphics .

 

Grabbing attention , creating interest and drawing the reader into the context pages is one of the primary functions of " editorial design " .

 

Designer will also focus on the development of Ideas and the Visualization of design concepts . Sometimes , designer would work closely with editor during conext development process .

 

The main function of an editor :

 

To communicate your message more effectively .

 

skillful communication includes three main attrbutes

 

1. Clear . Enable reader gets your point quickly and easily

2. Concise . Prevent reader going through irrelevant or extraneous information .

3. Captivating . Use effective words of phases to grabs and holds your reader's attention .

 

An effective planning and arrangemen of graphics , diagrams , illustration and photography images together on reading page are basic skill set to generate editorial design solutions .

 

Emphasis is usually be placed on the relationship between layout , image selection and traget audience .

Magazines , jourals , books , brochures , annaul report , ctalogues , prospectuses , manuals and other company literature .

 

Electroinc media : interactive eBrochures , web ages , CDs and flash animation .
