Sacrifice Productions 0 Report post Posted May 4, 2005 Okay, So I'm alright in flash as it is. But I was curious how you made a button move... like a mouse over effect for instance where something robotic pops out of a button on mouse over. Any takers? Qop 0 Report post Posted May 4, 2005 Yes, this is a nice little trick to learn This is for a mouse over effect: Create a button.Make an image for the first frame.Insert the second fram. For this frame (the 'over' frame) you have to create a movieclip (ctrl + F8 or just F8). Draw the movie (for instance your robo-popper) and then, with the 'over'-frame slected, drag your little clip from the library (ctrl + L) on the stage.Insert an image for the last two frames.Drag the button onto the stage of the movie.Hit ctrl+enterMove your mouse over the buttonAdmire the effectYou're done! You can add a clip in every fram if you like it different. Hope it helped, Qop
gamerchick39 0 Report post Posted May 25, 2005 The above post is good, but i do it a different way, unless your terminology is just different than mine haha.Anyway here goes:1. Start out by making the button.2. Convert it to a button symbol. 3. Double click on the button, which opens up a whole new set of keyframes.4. insert a keyframe in frames 1 and 2. Frame one is the button at rest. Frame 2 is the mouse over frame. Frame 3 is the when the button is pressed down. Frame 4 is called the hit frame, meaning whatever you put in that frame is the invisble outline of your button, so the computer knows where the button is.5. Ok on frame 2, insert your robotic picture and place it where your want it in relation to the button, it can replace the button if you like.6. when your done and satisfied, double-click the mouse away from the button to get out of the edit mode, then do a test movie and see if that worked out
