Alienware

Recommended Posts

Hey, im looking at buying an Alienware laptop. Is alienware a good company?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Alienware is a great gaming computer developer. However, their computers are extreamly expensive becuase they come with graphics cards that are not "on board". If you want a good pc from them, make sure your getting your moneys worth by resarching the graphics card, mother board, and amount of space and ram. For ram look for 1 gb DDR2. On the other hand, alienware can still be topped if you do your reasearch correctly. Try looking in the paper for some good deals. If you plan on playing games get an AMD 64 hp and your probably getting the same thing, just without the name. Well if you got any questions, hit me up.

I think that you could also build a custom PC for less than the price of an Alienware PC. If you just look around for the prices of various pieces of hardware then you should see what the total price is compared to an Alienware PC. You might find that you would be spending less but then again you would have to put the thing together yourself lol! If I had the money I would buy myself an Alienware PC.

Alienware is a good company, Their laptops are down right awsome although i am led to beleve that they have a slight chance to overheah or you get a really hot lap after using one, Withe the amount of features they offer with their laptop is good but like Poison_the_well said you can find better, i had a small look and i found explosive proof laptops to laptops that are titium cased (very shiny) but you can find a better deal elseware

Some sites i found
powernotebooks
More powerful notebooks
ooooh 64-bit laptops ^.^

im sure you can find what you are after if you look in google

Alienware are really cool. What they do to the Windows GUI is so cool! But, like everyone said, if you're willing to go without the flashy casing and strange Windows then you can get a similar PC much cheaper.

I've never had an Alienware notebook, but I have had one of their desktop systems. They seemed like a good, easy to work with company and I liked the system, although I think it was a little overpriced. So I would say if you have the money then go for it, but be aware that you can probably get a computer with the same specs for less somewhere else.

I think alien ware are cool but you can make a computer that looks and plays exactly like an alien ware for 900 dollars or less. how do you think I make money on ebay? Its not by selling old porn.

I have an Acer Ferrari laptop, its very swish ill tell you!It was a replacement for my old laptop so I dont know what it cost but its 64 bit and has a cool ferrari look. And I doubt its that expensive, as it was a replacement for a 2 year old Acer which cost around £1300 about 2 years ago.

Alienware no doubt make kickass computers but they really are designed for gaming. They have all kinds of fancy graphic cards which is why they're so expensive. They're a good computer to get if you don't know much about hardware and want to get the best around. Now if you want to have the best computer around, you really need to be good with software. That way, you can build it with all the best parts for much cheaper. Nothing can compare to that.

I've never had experience with any of Alienware's laptops, but my uncle just purchased a desktop from them and I must say it is amazing. It works extremely well, it is quiet, the graphics are nice, and the only downside is that their PC's are a little overpriced.
