No, I think Google it the best out there. There are some specialty search eingines, like visual search eingines and stuff, but for just over-all general serach, Google (I would say) is the best. As far as your bad links go, Google can help you there:

 

Go to Google.com and click on Preferences Then you can choose your level of filtering as well as some other handy preferences.

 

Did you have filtering on? I think the default is Moderate Filtering or something like that.

well i think google is the best one out on the internet too...Brians right theres a filter on the search engine. which can remove all the porn from the search. just go on the perferences and turn on the filter. it should be on by deafult i think. well i always turn it off.

Well if you are not satisfied, you can always create your own...Actually it depends on personal preference, one person may like AlterVista and hate Google, and the other might like Google and hate Altervista, and another hates them all.

Probably not. Google is the best one out there in my opinion.There are also other Search Engines that are like Google, for example, http://search.yahoo.com/ I searched for "Best Search Engine" on Google and got this:http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ say at the top "The Best Search Engine", but I compared it to Google through a couple of searches. HomerWeb found nothing when I seached for "TV Wonder VE", but it found 8,210,000 things when I searched it on Google. Try experimenting with Google and other search engines and you'll find Google is the best by far.

google is my homepage and in my opinion, google is the best, but i never tried something else than google and av. yahoo could be good too, but i don't know. i just love google because of all the extra stuff, besides the good search engine, like gmail, calculator (search 9450+25035*348034/390350-25938405 and google calculates it for you!) and much more!

I've always found the extra Google features amazing. This new Google Q&A thing (see https://www.google.co.uk/googleblog/2005/04facts-fast.html if you don't know what I'm talking about) is brilliant, despite the fact it only seems to work on Google.com

Google is by far the greatest search engine ever! They are the fastest, and hosts of the most unique technology. This technology allows them to offer over 2 gigs of email space to anyone and everyone! Their toolbar (https://www.google.com/intl/de/toolbar/ie/index.html) is the best thing to come to internet explorer.

I couldn't imagine using another search engine. Who uses anything besides Google anyway? Just Kidding! As you can see, I clearly hold Google above the rest.

I dont think there are any better...although yahoo is sometimes better...I find them easier to get added on the search b/c it took 4ever to get added through goole...Although google offers adword and Adsense... whice you can make money for nothing!well, Hope this will help you out some...I dont know what other search engins are out there...
