it really depends how much you are willing to spendthere are different video card generatios.some generations nvidia has been better and others ati has been betterfor example, the radeon 9 series was a lot better than the geforce 5 series in a lot of applications, especially direct x 9 application.however in this generation, a lot of the geforce 6 cards are better than the radeon x series cards.spending more can also make a difference as there are different video card levels.for example there are 9200, 9600, 9800 and x800
