Seeing as how I am very much into designing I wrote a tutorial for a design site i'm mod on.

I have the same name there as I do here, and here's the link to my tutorial if need be.

The link

first off make your canvas

now brush it up some

now get your render and put it on there

now on the render layer hit ctrl+u,check the colorize, and use these settings

now grab the regular lasso toolPosted Image

and circle what you want to stay showing

now click the layer mask buttonPosted Image

near the bottom right and NOW YOU'VE BLENDED!!!!!!w00t!!!

now to color

Ok. hit ctrl+e until youve merged all your layers

now go to image>adjustments>color balance and play with all 3 settings until you get what you want.

hmm...it's nice and simple. But most of it depends on the brushing and the render. All you've done here is place a picture on a brushed background lol. Well, the final picture looks nice. Good job on it ^_^

i don't know if that's really teaching anything if your topic says "for advanced people"...but again, I think you did a good job on it ^_^ i'm just being a stupid critical slob right now lol
