duptyfied 0 Report post Posted April 18, 2012 Within just a week of the 6.5 magnitude earthquake in Michoacan, Mexico, there is now a 5450m evacuation around Popocatepetl volcano as the alert level has now reached the ‘yellow stage three’. I guess this will take its toll globally as well, especially considering the rise in global warming. The volcano lies around 70km (40 miles) from Mexico City, and is visible from the capital on a clear day. "We can hear the roar of the volcano, sometimes we can feel its force," Concepcion Perez from the town of Xalitzintla in Puebla State, 12km (seven miles) from the volcano told the French news agency Agence France-Presse. multfilm 0 Report post Posted May 26, 2012 I wonder if we would feel it here in US if it erupts.... we just had an earthquake recently, and that thing was cool. Maybe the volcano rumbling has a similar shake to it?
