Producer, Dj Or Digital Musician Any On Trap17?

Recommended Posts

I wouldn't necessarily call myself a producer, composer, DJ or what-have-you, but i do make music from time to time for personal entertainment (which i eventually release to the public for free). I use FL Studio to make music. Some of my old work (i'm talking about a few years old) can be found here. My favorite genre is D'n'B (similar to the beat you referenced), but i don't stick to any one genre.

Long time ago i was some kind of a producer for rap music. I was making the instrumentals or the music on Reason and then recording the voices and setting the song in Cubase SX. It was pretty good but i quit from that because i didn't had money to buy some real equipment for recording and sampling.

I've been making music for about two years but haven't really released any to the public. I shift around genres a lot depending on what I'm currently listening to. Mostly I make Hardstyle and UK Hardcore, but I often play Progressive House on my CDJs I bought a year ago.

My favourite DAW so far is definitely Ableton Live as it gives users the most creative freedom. I started off with Fruity Loops, but other than playing samples- it doesn't offer as much creative control..

Anyway, for some samples of what I've made, here you go:

Hardstyle:

ProgRock:

As for some of my really old stuff, (made when I was 15 and genuinely thought I was destined to be a dance music prodigy):

Yes the hardest part about it is that if you want a real proffesional sound you'll really need the money for equipment, a analog synth allways beats an digital one

And you thought you was gonna be a music prodigy hehe, ah we all have dreams at that age.

I'm more into trance and not a full time into it. But whenever i get time i spend it on reason and fruityloops. I have about 20+ tracks as of now. With remixes 15+. Most of the songs are trance/ ambiance and commercial mixes. I hate getting into vocal trance but seriously want to learn how to mix them so will be watching trend these days of vocal trance. Let's see if i can make few vocal songs.oh and my alias is "activewave" on most of the music publishing sites.

hey, I use a combination of Reason and FL for the instruments and compile using Pro tools. Works pretty well for me. I guess that it's not really what you use, it's usually how good you are at using that specific software. thats one thing people seem to forget nowadays.
