PHP Game Programming (2004) - Premier Press

Over the past few years the World Wide Web has grown tremendously. From its infant stages when a Web page was nothing more than text with HTML to dynamic, robust, extensible, rich multimedia content. Five years ago you would never have thought of playing a game on the Web, but today, with current scripting languages, you can do just that. PHP has transformed the Web as we know it. PHP provides quick, dynamic, real-time tools to bring life to Web sites.

PHP (otherwise known as the hypertext preprocessor) burst onto the scene in 1994 when Rasmus Lendorf released a package of Personal Home Page tools to the public. As more interest for these tools grew, Rasmus decided to create his own scripting engine to parse input from an HTML form. The first version of PHP was born; it was called PHP/FI. The programming community quickly grew out of PHP/FI, and PHP soon became the API as you know it today. If you know C/C++ or Java then learning the basic PHP constructs will be extremely easy. PHP is a wonderful tool with quick, on-the-fly, compilation. It also offers you a ton of libraries to work with to create graphics, Flash pieces, connections to databases, and connections to other computers. The main focus of this book is to take all of these tools and give you the knowledge and power to create turn-based games on the Web.

If you are going to post download links for four different sites with books, could you please do it in just one post in the future, there's really no point in having four posts, unless you are expecting long discussions about each book, which you probably aren't if you've been watching your other threads.Secondly, could you please not post links to illegal material in the future? Thanks!

Hi.Look, i' not expecting major discussions about those ebooks, but i'm really expecting for at least one "thanks" because those ebooks weren't easy to find, "capi"??? If those ebooks were all about php or flash or whatever, in that case i would insert them all in one post, but in this particular case, all the posts i've made were about different subjects, so, you have your point but i alsow have mine.Secondly, i really don't think those are ilegal ebooks because you don't know if i or the people who shared this ebooks in that site have permition from the authors to share them or whatever, you are getting into a very complicated subject.Next time try to to prove it before you assume one thing that you don't really know about it!!!!Finally, if you have visited my posts it's because you had an interest in them, and you don't even say thanks for my efort in sharing this ebooks, you only have an arrogant atitude wich i really don't like it.

Seriously, if you see something like "PHP Game Programming (2004) - Premier Press", you don't think that that might be a book still being sold? You know, it is still being sold.

I checked the link, it doesn't say "we have permission to give away this book" anywhere, something you would expect for a book still being sold, wouldn't you? Or perhaps you think that a publisher giving permission to spread a book they are still selling is perfectly normal? And that they would probably not tell the second party to put a little note saying that they are allowed to share it? And that they would give the giveaway-rights to a site which main index looks like this: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ (it does hardly look like a site a big publisher would go to to spead their books)?

And it doesn't look like you ever even think about this. Do you think Microsoft is spreading its books for free? On a domain called netz.ru

Do you think John_wiley & Sons, one of the biggest publishers of technical books are suddenly giving them away for free through Rapidshare?

Next time try to to prove it before you assume one thing that you don't really know about it!!!!

:D

If you really do think that all those links you've posted are legal I can check with the publishers for you. But I can tell you right now: They. Are. Not.

You didn't get the point at all of my last feedback.I didn't say that the books were legal or ilegal because i don't really know, but the name of the site has nothing to do with the publisher wich i know because i read a lot.Maybe you're right, maybe the ebooks are ilegal and because of that doubt and alsow because maybe people arround here don't read to much, i will not provide links to ebooks like this one any more.
