Most of the time they're lying, and sometimes they're even trying to get money from you, instead of just not giving you any. Recently, I joined mylot.com because a friend recommended it. I'm not going to tell you that you can quit your job and work from home posting inane things on the internet. However. If you are already sitting at home posting inane things on the internet, mylot.com is an awesome place to do it. I joined a week ago and I've made about a dollar. Like I said, don't go there to make money. But it does add a little excitement, watching your points go up. Also, you have to sort through the dumb posts a little (as with any forum site) but once you find the good ones, and know who to watch out for, you can have some really quality discussions. So.
